Look-alike?

Ever since I cut off my hair my mom's been calling me "Daz", as she seems to think I look like one of the cast in British soap opera Emmerdale. Thank you, mom.

I don't know? You decide!

I suspect someone's hacked my Flickr account

Every time I try the e-mail verifiction it says "there is no member with this e-mail adress" or something like that.

Crap.

Fiasco blog update

We can expect what's probably going to be some unbelievably fierce new material from one of our favourite bands, Fiasco, within the near future.

And this creepy photo of Lucian:

Thizz zzummer - What happened?

I’ve been taking driving lessons and studied the art of driving a car!

My uncle, his wife and my cousin moved back from Italy, and came to stay at my grandma’s for a couple of weeks. My cousin turned 7 so we celebrated her a bit (;

Our cat went missing for a couple of days and was later found curled up underneath a tarpaulin on one of our neighbors backyard, with a massive case of resin stuck to his fur and a large gash on his right “hip” (what do you call it?). Anyways, it was a pretty traumatic experience for the whole family. We took him to the vet, they thought him likely to have been hit by a car and he had some stitches + cone collar + antibiotics for 10 days. Poor kitty! L

Oh, yeah, they’ll probably have to chop off half his tail ‘cause of some nerve damaging. (Fuck)

I turned 20. No biggie.

The sperm whale joke

I have surrendered to the mighty powers of MTV: Jackass has become one of my favourite shows on TV, Wildboys and Dirty Sanchez too. Maybe I’ve gotten more stupid?

"Moby Dick was a very angry sperm whale who attacked ships and swallowed se(a)men"
- Chris Pontius

Apparently I can't embed this: http://www.jackassworld.com/videos/1581753/210296

Bye bye Jacko

I am positively certain he’s a lot happier wherever he’s gone now. Heaven or whatever…

Anyways, the music channels have been OD’ing on his old videos since he died, and I happened to catch the whole lot of “Thriller” the other day and GOSH! THAT GIRL’S OUTFIT IS FREAKIN’ AWESOME!

Man, I want it… Just the jeans and the jacket: hot!

Reassurance

- I find comfort in knowing I could just dye all my clothes black and I’ll have a matching wardrobe.

6/08/2009

Hardcore believer

I’m afraid of sea monsters. Seriously. Especially giant sea serpents (don’t laugh, they’re out there!).
I’d love to spot one, though, but never ever swim or go on a boat where they reside.

EU election 2009!

I had a weird experience today: I voted for the first time: for Swedish parliamentarians in the European Parliament.
I voted for the Pirate Party :p

Hope you all remembered to cast your vote!

Nauseating weekend

I’ve been living on crap for four days. Not literally, just really bad, disgusting foods. I’ve felt just as crappy as well, knackered, sick I think… And I’ve kept fueling my illness by consuming all this shit. TONS OF SUGAR! No, but really, I had wheat crackers with jelly for breakfast the morning of graduation, followed by freeze dried strawberries covered in yoghurt for dinner and a cheese melt sandwich.
Friday we visited my aunt where we indulged on rhubarb & strawberry pie, princesstårta (a traditional sponge cake with marzipan on, google it), cinnamon buns and chocolate chip cookies. Dinner was pretty much a forced issue on my mother’s behalf, consisting of soy “meatballs” and mixed vegetables. I felt like puking.
Saturday was no better, far worse I would say. I woke up at 2:30 p.m. and had a small bowl of muesli. Around 4:30 mom got home and opened a bag of Estrella chips which the three of us (the family; excluding the cat) shared. That was my dinner + a marzipan/chocolate/oatmeal/hazelnut pastry frog (which I suspect was turning ‘cuz it was well dry). Then I had a couple of those strawberry/yoghurt thingies and felt my gut churning-sick as a f-in dog-“kill me now”-I’ll never touch food again-throwing up cascades of my own intestines-baaaad.

6/06/2009

Scary shit

For years (!) I have had reoccurring nightmares about accidentally eating meat and of getting pregnant.

6/03/2009

Swedish daykitty up for adoption

I would really really like to go to New York this summer and catch Fiasco and Runtime Error at Citysol. The plane tickets aren’t that expensive, but both hotels and hostels turns out to be more than a little above the budget I was going for. And I don’t know anyone in the N.Y. area either…

So if anyone would like to host and hang out with a Swedish girl for a weekend or so, let me know, people!

The KAFKA band?

I still wonder what happened to KAFKA. I loved their song Molotov Cocktail. I also used to talk to George on MSN a bunch of years ago and I think I still have the beginning of a short-story he was writing at the time, entitled "The Man".
I e-mailed Telfer at Myspace about the whole "death of KAFKA"-situation ('cuz he seems to be the only ex-band member with fairly active internet habits). I'm not really expecting an answer but it would be nice to know.
George has/had a great voice too. At least I thought so.

Rape caught on camera?

Whatever's going on here, someone's getting screwed.
This picture is so funny.

Funky Spunk Hairdo (?!!)

I’m not kidding! I just went to the bathroom and found what looked like semen in my hair. It was facial cream from this morning…
Looked as though someone jismed my do, ffs.

This was the funniest slang word for semen I could find: Albino lipstick. HAHAHA!
There’s lots more here:

New youtube favourite

Fast forward to about 2:07

I have such a cruch on that dude now...
Yes, Lucian Buscemi, if you ever read this I want a date with you, capisce?

Yeah so I did go out Saturday night

It was the best time I've had for so long, even while the bar sucked pretty bad and we were only like three people out of the original line-up. Good times nonetheless.
The age limit was 21 but I got in anyway *thank you bouncers*. It was a sports bar and the only place that was open 'cuz of the Open Mic Night, and they played this god awful music too fucking loud; you could hardly talk to one another, also I think they kept cranking up the volume just to piss us off. I'm not that into drinking alcohol either so for me it was a total waste of time that could've been spent on watching the local bands play, but we did catch Skaburbian Collective. It was awesome. I yelled my vocal cords off into bleeding fire, did some weirdass wasted-hippie-style pogo and flicked my hair in peoples faces (not deliberately, sorry). Sooo much fun. Then I crashed at Kamila's (the whole "night bus issue" all over again).

Sometimes life equals crap

It SUCKS to live in Norrbotten.
Sucks with a capital "S".

No goddamned public transportation locally on weekends where I live,
and when the bloody busses do go it's less than once an hour and only until 7 p.m. or some shit.
I could live with that. I could ride my bike to the regional busses at night.
And I was going to, tonight, until some fucker decided to cut night-busses Monday-Friday.
WTF IS UP WITH THAT?

On top of everything: my friend from school gave me the wrong mobile number (TWICE!) and now I can't fucking reach her.
Now I can't tell her I'm not coming because of the whole night-bus issue.
And so tonight is pretty much going to suck as well as every other night in this godforsaken place.

I was looking forward to seeing some bands play (even while I know most of them is crap) and maybe getting a little tipsy and make out with strangers (nahh, not really).

But fuck that; let's play strip poker with stuffed animals instead!

Somebody e-mailed me this joke

The elephant asked the camel:
“What the hell do you have boobs on your back for?”

The camel:
“Fucking stupid question coming from someone with a dick in his face!”

Some of my favourite/most played songs right now

The View – Wasted Little DJ’s I just rediscovered this Scottish quartet.
Vivian Girls – Moped Girls Laidback shoegaze.
Fiasco – I Wanna Be Your Cat I might as well just list the entire “Native Canadians” album because it is amazing.
Ponytail – Beg Waves What the hell is that girl singing? I don’t care. This is good.
My Bloody Valentine – Cupid Come I find their music to be very seductive, almost intoxicating. “Slow” is the best song ever, though.
Sebadoh – Rebound King Lou Barlow
Banzai – Heigh-Ho Incredibly funny
Mazzy Star – Halah Hope Sandoval’s voice is lov—e—ly. Mazzy Star fan.
Sol Seppy – Slow Fuzz Her best song. Adorable and sturdy at the same time.
Asobi Seksu – Thursday Nu-gazing otherworldly vocals.
Levitation – Cutwater I like Levitation, but in overload they depress me. Be careful kids!
Weezer – Say It Ain’t So Anxiety-bubble-burst. Weezer is a great band.
My Bloody Valentine – Nothing Much To Lose The intro is so great.
Fiasco – I Figure It’s Better We Do Something Ridiculous Than Nothing At All Makes me wish I could master an instrument, like these guys.
My Bloody Valentine – I Can See It (But I Can’t Fell It) I lovelovelove shoegaze and these are the masters.
Pixies – Debaser Jumping around-screaming lyrics-head banging-going bonkers-song
Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds – Deanna Dance! Dance! Dance!
No Age – You Is My Hot Rabbit Great title for a song, eh?
Runtime Error – Trial And Error Holy mother of glittery purple gel pens, this is an incredible song.
Ride - Vapour Trail An all time favourite. You could so trap me with this song.
Michael J. Sheehy – Love Me We all just want to be loved, right?
Shellac – Song Of The Minerals Waaaay better with Fiasco and Jonathan Edelstein’s vocals, but I’ve grown quite fond of this song.
The View – Same Jeans How can you resist a Scottish accent?
Titus Andronicus – Titus Andronicus Reminds me of the good old British punk rock days.
Sebadoh – Sacred Attention “It’s not bullshit; it’s Sebadoh”
Banzai – Synesthesia I had completely forgotten what Synaesthesia means…
Titus Andronicus – To Old Friends And New “If you talk and no-one’s listening it’s almost like being alone”. Word.
Bat Attack/Birdcage – Hope Is Big Beautiful, melancholic and fantastically amazing song.
Deerhunter – Never Stops I woke up humming this song.
Tarantella – A Chi Sa Dove Sara Kal Cahoone :)
Fiasco – True Story (The Aquarium) Where can I find “God Loves Fiasco”?
Bat For Lashes – What’s A Girl To Do Cool video. Obviously a good song too.
The Clash – Train In Vain The Clash always makes me want to dance.

Brett, Brett who?

I really ought to throw out/replace all the Brett Anderson pictures I have in my room; taped to the back of a framed copy of Munch’s “The Scream”. That crush died a long time ago when he decided to “grow-up”, get married, make shit-music with The Tears and that crappy solo project of his (and also that last Suede album kind of sucked). Yeah, he’s a gonner.

What the hell happened to you, man?
I don’t get it: Jarvis Cocker still got it, why not Brett? (Brit-pop-bros ffs!)

Lou Barlow is hot

This however, is kind of gross. (But oh so funny).

Way Out West 2009

How, in the name of Lou Barlow, could I have missed this?

Holy gargamoly, I have to be there...

Mad shopping spree!

So today I spent about $400 on clothes, completely uncalled for, entirely a spur of the moment thing and soooooo much fun. I’m returning like half the shit, though…

4/25/2009

Why won't I just go to bed??

I'm seriously contemplating the idea of going jogging, right now, at three in the morning.

That was some of my sweets this Easter btw, and the most delicious chocolates I've ever tasted.

Pins-o-mania!

Anxiety-ridden

I’m experiencing so much anxiety right now. A while ago I turned down an opportunity for a summer job I had last year, in hopes of finding a “better one”, but I’m beginning to realize: there’s really nothing out there!

Should I phone my former employer and ask whether the job is still available?
I feel so stupid…

Wednesday

Yesterday I met up with my friend Elin, whom I had not seen in six months or so, so it was really good to see her. As always when we get together, we watched a lot of films: Harry Potter (seriously, it’s mandatory for us to see AT LEAST one), Chakushin Ari 2 and a few episodes of Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon (which is this insane live-action television series from Japan. It was hilarious). We don’t really see the films as much as we talk during them and make really bad jokes (which we, obviously, find incredibly funny). Elin also impressed me with some of her, recently achieved, Japanese language skills.

It was also my cat’s fifth birthday, so happy birthday Kissen!
(For those of you unfamiliar with the Swedish language “Kissen” could be translated to “puss”, as in “pussycat”).

Sugar hiccup

Woooaaaaw! I'm just coming down from being like totally high on sugar for the past three days. I don't ever want to see that shit again! Candy is vile and addictive. I have completely fucked up my diurnal rhythm (again!); it always happens while I’m on break from school and have nothing better to do than goof around the house like a hermit. I’m expecting one hell of a headache in the next couple of hours.
Also, my solitude was broken a few hours ago. I’m in the process of writing a short story for my English class so I wasn’t too happy to be disturbed in the middle of it. In addition I was asked to plug my music = Crap! Crap! Crap!

I have made a few mix-tapes this weekend, recording off the speakers of the computer using one of those children’s tape-recorder thingies. I like how rough it sounds when you do that, almost as if I live recorded it in my basement or something.

I don’t think anyone’s reading this blog. And definitely not after this:

A girl and a guy arguing over a piece of rubber:
The girl: Not just for protection, you’ll last longer too!
The guy: Do I look like a pre-mature ejaculator?!!

The day that humor died.

Fiasco @ Mohawk 21/03/2009

A small sample of the a capella version of Oh You Horney Monster! included. (That's pretty neat). Go to their myspace page (linked under Awesome People here) and have a listen. They’re fantastic.

I'd absoloutly love to see them live. Unfortunatly they're on the opposite side of the planet and I'm just a poor student -imagine a really sad & depressed smiley here-

Soulmate

I love this song.
Couldn't find it in any reasonably good quality sound on youtube though, but I recommend you hear them out.

"My soulmate is a special girl
A girl that's just like me
She'll share tremendous oral sex
And try everything she sees
She won't be insane or hung-up
Like most other girls
I'll worship her until it hurts
'Cuz she's on top of my world "

Sleep deprivation

I didn't go to sleep at all last night and now it's morning... I think I'm gonna take a nap. Dream of something nice.

...and I have to let the cat in, he's been out all night. Chasing small animals or going to nightclubs, shaking his furry legs, who knows...

Good morning.

Word of the week, Freedom and My Bloody Valentine

Seeing that my mom, her boyfriend and some of his family are camping up north this week, I've had the entire house to myself. I can sing, dance, run around naked (OK, I don’t actually do that, as I might scare some peeping tom passerby half to death), but you see my point? FREEDOM. Just me and my randy cat (it’s that time a year).
That’s funny, I actually didn’t know randy was another word for horny before this Monday. It’s my word of the week, together with a word a classmate of mine made up: floppyneck.

We had a photo shoot in a small studio this week in Media class; we had to take turns modeling (we’re only like five people in the group) and Karin was first to volunteer and did a fantastic job (!), only when we were to look at the pictures she bawled: Oh my God! Look at my floppy necks! Of course there was no floppy necks, only bad lighting.

Anyway, last night I stayed up until 3:30 a.m. editing photographs on the computer. A terrible idea because I had to get up and get ready for school at 6:00 a.m. (School starts at 8:30 but I have to take two sometimes three busses, which takes about an hour for me to get there).
But it wasn’t that bad after all, we only had half-day today since it’s Easter, and I only had English this morning. We did the listening part of an English B national test from 1998 (I got 28 right answers out of 30!). It was on a cassette tape and everyone seemed to think it was extreeeeeemely outdated. I love cassette tapes! Am I the only one who still put together mix-tapes using actual tapes? Just a question…

Now I’m gonna put My Bloody Valentine’s Slow on repeat and so loud the whole house vibrates (or will that wake the neighbors?). That must be one of the best songs about oral sex ever, I never tire of it.

New blog - first post!

I thought it was about time for me start blogging. I might not lead the most exciting life; everyday life in a small (emphasis on small, ok?) town in the freezing north cold of Sweden; but hopefully someone'll enjoy it. At least I will.

I'm guessing it'll be a lot of photos, my current obsessions, music and other "worldly" things.

- Let's get this ship sailing now!
